About Us

All residents of the Village of Scarsdale and the Mamaroneck Strip are invited
to become members of Scarsdale Forum. We are an established civic group that
studies the issues, debates recommendations and writes reports to provide useful
research and public feedback to our elected public officials. Recent topics include
the Scarsdale School District Budget, LED streetlights, traffic in the Village
Center and the Scarsdale Public Library Construction Proposal. Click on the "Reports"
tab above to view our work.

This past year, a social media discussion about the Scarsdale Village Center led to the
creation of a new sub-committee of the Neighborhood Character Committee. This group,
under the chairmanship of Susan Douglass, is collaborating with the Village and local
merchants to revitalize our downtown. [After you join the Forum, join the Neighborhood
Character Committee to receive updates and meeting notices.]

Join to participate or join to learn - the choice is yours.

The Scarsdale Forum has been influencing public affairs since 1904. Whether you've lived
in the Mamaroneck Strip or the Village of Scarsdale for a day, a decade or a lifetime, we
need your participation in the Forum. The more we identify topics, research, discuss,
debate and write informative reports, the better our community for generations to come.
All levels of interest and ability are most welcome!

Please explore this website, attend our public events and check us out on Facebook to learn
more about your community and your Forum.

Hope to meet you soon,

Lena Crandall, Scarsdale Forum President (2016-2017)
